Coach Chris Beattie will emphasize fun while establishing a competitive environment where these young players will be able to continue to develop fundamental soccer skills and learn team concepts.  He firmly believes that the most important thing at this age is for the girls to enjoy playing soccer.  Only two things are required to become a great soccer player: love for the game, and a ball.  If the girls do not have fun and enjoy playing soccer, they will not develop a love for the game, and we risk them losing interest in soccer completely.  We will work hard, play hard, and have fun in the process.  As a Coach, my job will be to foster a love for the game in these young girls, and provide them the tools to become great players.  I will also teach the tactics, communication, field positioning, strategy, and decision making needed to mold great players into a great team.  My goal is to have a winning season, but more importantly, to have every girl develop a love for soccer, and a desire to play competitively again next year.
